Lye Brook Wilderness, September 2008

I went on a weekend backpacking trip (Friday - Sunday) in and around the Lye Brook Wilderness area in the Green Mountain National Forest in Vermont. It was a rainy weekend which served well to thin out the crowds. I visited Branch Pond, Bourne Pond, Startton Pond, and the peak of Stratton Mountain, and encountered a total of two other hikers until I was nearly back to my car late Sunday morning when I met several groups of day-hikers heading up Stratton Mountain.
